'Brisk'...a 4 ply Possum moss stitch cowl
This is a free pattern with purchase of the accompanying wool. Please only select 'buy now' if you have also added the relevant wool to your knitting basket.
Moss stitch is a classic combination of 'knit' and 'purl' stitches, which creates a simple yet sophisticated pattern. This cowl takes just one hank of Touch Yarns Possum and uses 3.75mm needles. The use of slightly bigger needles than those traditionally used for 4ply knitting gives the yarn space to 'breathe', and within a short space of time the Possum rises to the surface giving the cowl a beautiful sheen.
Knitted as a rectangle, simply rotate your work 180 degrees once complete and sew the short ends together to form a mobius with an elegant drape
- Yarn: 1 hank of Touch Yarns Possum
- Needles: 3.75mm
Note: We originally knitted this scarf with Amuri 4ply. However this yarn has since been discontinued. We strongly recommend using this beautifully soft New Zealand Touch Yarns Possum as a substitute. You will use just a smidgen over half a hank, thus adding a lovely ball of left overs to your 'stash'!
