Last winter I repeatedly got asked for a cape/wrap/poncho sort of 'thing'. A cape reminds me of Mary Poppins, a wrap is a whisp of a thing to drape ones shoulder when attending the opera, and a poncho....well wasn't that a purple, brown and orange creation my mum crocheted me in the 1970s? Let's not go there!

Well, Jan, my lovely alpaca yarn supplier came up trumps with two fabulous patterns which totally hit the mark
