I was born 'just over the hill' from the Rowan woollen mill in Yorkshire, England. I have always had a 'soft spot' for this very British, down to earth company. The Rowan range of yarns is vast, I have selected my very favourite yarns as I would need a shop the size of a rugby field to stock them all!
Remember Debbie bliss Baby Cashmerino? Do you have a whole collection of Debbie Bliss pattern books, featuring this yarn? Well, as you may know, Debbie Bliss Yarns are no longer available to independent retailers, the less said about this act of knitting treason the better! Well...Rowan Yarns have produced their own version of this iconic yarn and those canny (clever) designers in Yorkshire, England have come up with an even more luxurious baby and toddler knitting yarn....and I am not just saying that. If you are local, do come into the store and have a fondle, squeeze and a snort. We have made an adorable little girls cardigan and a rufty tufty sweater as our shop samples, if you need any further enticement!
