Brand Chaska

Oh my goodness, have I got a treat for you?

I suspect many would purchase this yarn purely on the beauty of its label depicting a sweet Peruvian girl, busy at her knitting surrounded by birds, flowers and a knitted heart.

Tacama is a blend of organic cotton and alpaca, with absolutely no added dyes. The five glorious shades are purely determined by the wonderful shades of the alpaca fibers. I've taken the liberty of naming each wonderful shade, starting with Eva, an understated, classic cream, Pedro and Hector are akin to butter and fudge, whereas Maria and Alfonso gently nudges us into the stronger dove grey and charcoal hues.

This yarn has a bias towards summer knitting projects, there is a collection of ladies garments patterns and we have a simple classic sweater on display in our physical store.

I am currently knitting our Softest Babies Blanket In The Whole Wide World in the buttery shade of Pedro. The cotton/alpaca blend give enough warmth for the cooler evenings and deliciously snuggly and soft.
