Alpaca fibre is warmer than sheep's wool, naturally breathable, and has a subtle natural sheen that gives knitted fabrics a beautiful drape. Baby alpaca — the softest grade — is gentle enough for next-to-skin wear and baby garments, making it a go-to for our customers making gifts for little ones.
Alpaca is wonderful for scarves, shawls, sweaters, hats, and anything you want to feel extra special. It can be a little more slippery to work with than wool, but the finished result is absolutely worth it.
