Double Pointed Needles
Double pointed needles are the perfect tool for knitting in the round. Whether you're making a hat, socks, or a sweater, double pointed needles will help you get the job done. But what if you've never used them before? Here's a quick guide to help you get started.
First, choose the size of needle that you need based on the thickness of your yarn. You'll also need to decide how many needles to use - typically, four or five double pointed needles are used for projects like hats and socks.
Once you have your supplies, it's time to start knitting! Start by casting on the required number of stitches onto one of the double pointed needles. Then, divide those stitches evenly among all of the needles.
Now you're ready to start knitting in the round! Simply knit all of the stitches until your work reaches the desired length. When you're finished, simply bind off and weave in any loose ends.
