Oslo Hat

The Oslo Hat is worked from the bottom up in stockinette stitch.

The brim and body are worked on a circular needle. The crown is then shaped using double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop technique.

This is a versatile everyday hat that can be worked either with a light yarn held double with mohair, or with a heavier yarn held single or double.

Option 1: 4ply + Mohair (held together)

Sunday (235 m / 50 g) or Arwetta (210 m / 50 g)

Mohair Companion

Tilia / Silk Mohair (approx. 210 m / 25 g)

Option 2: Single or Double Strand

Double Sunday (108 m / 50 g) – single strand (8ply)

Sunday (235 m / 50 g) – held double (4ply)

Needles

3 mm circular needle (40 cm)

3 mm double-pointed needles (or Magic Loop)

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge

23 stitches × 32 rows = 10 × 10 cm
in stockinette stitch on 3 mm needles
