Alice Top
The Alice Top is a simple, fitted summer top in stockinette stitch. Unlike garments worked seamlessly from the top down, this design is worked from the bottom up, with an optional provisional cast-on method that allows the length to be adjusted at the end.
The body is worked in the round to the armholes, then divided for front and back. The back is worked in one piece, while the front is divided to shape the V-neckline. The shoulders are finished and sewn to the back using Kitchener stitch.
The Alice Top is designed with approx. 0 cm of positive ease. Choose a size based on your bust circumference for a close-fitting silhouette.
Before beginning your project, knit a swatch to determine which needle size gives you the correct gauge. Wash the swatch, as the recommended yarns may grow with washing and wear.

Gauge
15 stitches x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 5 mm needles.
Construction
The Alice Top is worked from the bottom up. The body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch to the armholes, then divided for front and back. The front is shaped with a V-neckline, while the back is worked in one piece. The pattern also includes an optional provisional cast-on method, allowing the length to be adjusted after the upper body has been completed.
