Designer difficulty: 3 out of 5.
Stocked designer-recommended yarn
Choose Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt or Sandnes Garn Double Sunday. Knit with one strand of the chosen yarn.
Metre requirements below are converted from the designer’s stated quantities using Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt: 91 m per 50 g, Sandnes Garn Double Sunday: 108 m per 50 g. Colour allocations are approximate; values are rounded up to whole metres where needed. Allow for swatching, any length changes and whole-ball purchasing.
The stripe and sleeve quantities are for each of two colours. Plan both colours separately; the other columns are for the stated component.

Frequently asked questions
Does Holger need six stripe colours?
No. There are six colour roles altogether: two body stripe colours, one body hem, two sleeve colours and one neck colour.
Why does the size look wide for its age?
The design deliberately includes 20–25 cm of ease. For a 62 cm chest, size 6–7 years finishes at 86 cm, giving 24 cm of ease.
