Sunburst Blanket with Sleepy Kitten Crochet Pattern – K3010
A colourful blanket of sunburst squares with a matching sleepy kitten to crochet in 4ply merino. The blanket combines textured motifs with a simple border, while the little kitten adds an amigurumi project to the set.
Construction and skill guidance
The blanket is made from 56 crocheted squares, joined in a seven-by-eight layout, then finished with a border and corner pom poms. The kitten is worked in separate pieces using continuous spiral rounds, then stuffed, assembled and finished with embroidered features and a bonnet.

Tension
One completed blanket square should measure 9 × 9 cm. Crochet a sample square and check its finished size before making the remaining motifs. The kitten is worked at a firm tension with the smaller hook to contain the stuffing.
