Seaside Set — PetiteKnit knitting pattern
A baby sweater and matching pants worked from the top down. The sweater’s left raglan opens with buttons, while short rows give the pants extra depth at the back. Choose a striped sweater or the separate single-colour version.

Gauge, needles and materials
Gauge: 28 stitches × 40 rows in stocking stitch on 3 mm needles = 10 × 10 cm.
Needles: 2.5 mm circulars: 40 and 60 cm; 3 mm circulars: 40, 60 and/or 80 cm; 2.5 mm and 3 mm double-pointed needles.
Sweater: 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4 or 4 buttons by size. Pants: 2 buttons per size and 2 cm-wide elastic. All buttons: 12–13 mm.

Converted from the designer’s separate garment quantities at 235 m per 50 g. Do not add both sweater versions together.
Wash and block a swatch before measuring. Match stitch and row gauge and check the fabric; adjust needle size as needed. Round up to complete sale units and allow extra for swatching or changes in length.
Frequently asked questions
Are the sweater and pants quantities combined?
No. The tables separate the striped sweater, single-colour sweater and pants. Choose one sweater version and add the pants allowance if knitting the complete set.
What fastening materials are needed?
The sweater uses three buttons in the first five sizes and four in the last two. The pants use two buttons in every size plus 2 cm-wide waist elastic. Buttons measure 12–13 mm.
