4ply — sometimes called fingering weight — is a fine yarn that typically works on 2.5mm–3.5mm needles. It takes longer than chunkier weights, but the finished fabric has an elegance and wearability that makes the effort completely worthwhile. A 4ply garment is light enough to layer, fine enough to travel well, and beautiful enough to become an heirloom.
Our 4ply range includes natural fibres like merino, sock-weight wool blends with nylon for durability, and pure wool options for traditional patterns.
