Approximately 12 cm of positive ease. At a 90 cm bust, size S finishes at 102 cm.

Gauge: 16 stitches × 24 rows in stocking stitch on 5 mm needles = 10 × 10 cm.
Needles: 5 mm circulars: 40, 60 and 80 and/or 100 cm; 5 mm double-pointed needles, or Magic Loop for the sleeves.

Equivalent-metre planning estimates: based on the designer’s 110 m per 50 g single-strand option, using its size-specific quantities converted to metres. The same working length is allowed for each strand when adding mohair in Option 2. The shop yarns differ from the original; these are not confirmed designer consumption figures. Allow extra for swatching and changes in length.
Wash and block your swatch before measuring. Match both stitch and row gauge in the stated stitch pattern; adjust needle size as needed and check the fabric’s drape.
Frequently asked questions
Do both shop options need mohair?
No. Chaska Alpaca Air is used as one strand on its own. The NZ Merino 12ply option combines one merino strand with one strand of 2ply mohair.
Should I choose the same size as Ivy Blouse?
Check the finished measurements first. Ivy Sweater size S is 102 cm around, while Ivy Blouse size S is 92 cm; the intended ease is different.
