All measurements below are in centimetres. Both designs have approximately 10 cm of ease at the chest. Sleeve length is 48 cm for every size.

Yarn requirements in metres
These allowances are for the original Heirloom Merino Magic Medley 8ply yarn, calculated from the pattern quantities using the manufacturer's 105 m per 50 g. The cardigan is shown in Tawny Brown 7086 and the jumper in Cloud Drift 7091.

Tension, needles and extras
- Tension: 22 stitches and 30 rows to 10 cm over stocking stitch using 4 mm needles.
- Both designs: One pair of 4 mm knitting needles, a cable needle and a wool needle for sewing seams.
- Cardigan: 4 mm circular needle, 80–100 cm long, and 8 buttons.
- Jumper: 4 mm circular needle, 40 cm long.
Use the needle size needed to achieve the stated tension. This intermediate project includes cable work and seaming; check the instructions for your chosen design before starting.
