Equivalent-metre planning estimates: the figures preserve the original single-yarn allowance calculated at 230 m per 50 g. PetiteKnit does not give a separate Sunday quantity, so these are estimates rather than confirmed Sunday consumption. Sunday is approximately 235 m per 50 g; round up to complete sale units and allow extra for swatching or added length.
Wash and block a swatch and match 26 stitches × 36 rows per 10 × 10 cm in stocking stitch. Start with the pattern’s 3 mm needles and adjust to achieve both stitch and row gauge. Check the finished fabric before beginning.
Frequently asked questions
Is the table’s width a chest circumference?
No. PetiteKnit labels this measurement as width. Keep that distinction when comparing it with an existing romper; it is not a supplied full-chest measurement.
How does this differ from Little Brother’s Romper?
This is the finer-gauge design, using 26 stitches × 36 rows per 10 cm and a 3 mm circular. Little Brother’s Romper has its own 18-stitch gauge and yarn requirements.
Are the straps worked first?
No. The construction begins at the lower front and back, followed by the body and upper sections. Straps are worked from the back at the end.
Does Sunday need to be held with mohair for this romper?
No. Use one strand of Sandnes Garn Sunday on its own for this option. Swatch to the finer 26-stitch × 36-row gauge; the metre table gives single-strand planning estimates.
