Equivalent-metre planning estimates, not tested substitute consumption: the main-yarn estimates preserve the designer’s original main-strand allowance at 150 m per 50 g. Where mohair is used, its separate allowance is converted at 212 m per 25 g. A single thicker yarn uses the main-strand length estimate only; do not add the mohair length to it. Choose one complete option, round up to complete sale units and allow extra for swatching, gauge differences or changes in length.
