Chunky Cross Rug & Cushion Knitting Pattern - 14Ply
A textured cross-motif rug and coordinating cushion front, worked in bulky wool on 10 mm needles.

Construction
Both knitted pieces are worked flat. The cushion is finished with lining and a fabric back; sewing is part of the project.
Yarn choices
The original yarn is Crucci Natural Wonder Super Bulky. The metre allowances use the verified 67 m per sale unit for that yarn. Use a single strand and swatch before selecting an alternative.

Metre allowances are approximate. Where the original gives purchasing quantities rather than used metres, these have been converted using its stated yarn length. Swatch, wash and block before starting; allow extra for length changes and differences in tension.
Tension
The pattern does not give a numerical tension. Check your fabric and finished size with a swatch.
Needles and notions
10 mm knitting needles and a wool needle. The cushion also needs lining, backing fabric and filling or a cushion inner; the pattern includes an optional centre button and zip finishing option.
Before you begin
Knit and purl stitches form the cross motifs. The cushion also requires basic sewing.
