Athene Sweater Knitting Pattern by PetiteKnit

Printed knitting pattern in English. Yarn, needles and notions are purchased separately.

Athene Sweater by PetiteKnit: An adult two-colour sweater with a shaped shoulder yoke, stranded colourwork and folded neck edge.

Construction

Shape the upper back with short rows and work each shoulder separately before joining the front. Work the colourwork in the round with steek stitches at the armholes, then cut the armhole openings and pick up the sleeves. The pattern also offers flat colourwork to avoid steeking.

Needles: Circular needles: 4 mm / 40, 60 and 80 and/or 100 cm , 4.5 mm / 80 and/or 100 cm and 3.5 mm / 40 and 80 and/or 100 cm ; Double-pointed needles: 3.5 mm , 4 mm and 4.5 mm (unless using the Magic Loop technique)

Wild & Woolly yarn options

Contact Wild & Woolly for help choosing a yarn from our range and confirming the required metres. The original yarn tables above remain the designer’s reference; substitute quantities are not assumed.

Before you begin

Make a washed or blocked swatch and check both gauge and fabric before starting. Buy complete balls, allowing extra yarn for swatching, changes to length or fit, and differences in gauge. The metre figures are based on the designer’s quantities, rather than exact measured consumption.
