Construction and skill level
The jacket is knitted flat in one piece from the lower back, casting on for the sleeves before dividing for the neck and fronts. The collar is picked up and knitted afterwards; only the sleeve and side seams need joining. The hat is knitted flat and seamed. A confident beginner can enjoy the garter stitch, while the one-piece shaping, buttonholes and finishing make this a good beginner-to-intermediate project.
