Raglan Cardigan and Hat Knitting Pattern – K426
Knit a matching baby cardigan and hat in soft 4ply yarn. The cardigan combines a shaped raglan yoke, garter-stitch trims and a neat collar for an easy-to-layer set.
Pattern Format: 📥📬 Available as Digital Download or Printed Copy (choose option below). This is a Naturally knitting pattern; yarn, needles and the finished item are not included.
Construction and Skill Guidance
Work the cardigan sleeves first and hold them while you knit the body flat in one piece to the underarms. Join the sleeves into the raglan yoke, then add front bands and the collar. The hat is worked flat with a shaped crown and a back seam. Finish the cardigan sleeve and underarm seams.
Suggested skill level: Intermediate. Be comfortable with joining held stitches, raglan decreases, picking up stitches, buttonholes and seaming.

Work with a single strand. Metreages are approximate yarn allowances converted from the original pattern quantities, rather than measured consumption. Allow extra for swatching or changes in size. Check a washed and dried swatch before starting.
With printed yarn, begin each ball from the same end for colour consistency. The colour pattern changes with garment size.
