📬 Printed Booklet (Posted to You)
Printed knitting pattern booklet posted to you. This listing is for the pattern only; yarn and needles are not included.
The Novice Sweater by PetiteKnit is a beginner-friendly women’s sweater knitting pattern worked seamlessly from the top down. It has a comfortable relaxed fit, a simple round yoke and classic stocking stitch fabric with ribbed neck, cuffs and hem.
You begin at the neckband, then work the yoke, body and sleeves. The round yoke is shaped with increases worked over four evenly spaced rounds. With no sewing required and straightforward techniques, this is an excellent first sweater project.

Gauge and needles
Gauge: 16 stitches × 21 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stocking stitch on 6 mm needles.
Suggested needles: 5.5 mm and 6 mm circular needles in 40 cm and 80 or 100 cm lengths, plus 5.5 mm double-pointed needles for the sleeves, unless using the Magic Loop method. Always use the needle size required to achieve gauge.
Yarn requirements
Metres are calculated from the designer’s stated quantities. Ball counts are included as a purchasing guide. Always round up to complete balls and allow additional yarn for swatching, adjustments and differences in gauge.

Choosing a substitute yarn
For the best result, match the pattern’s blocked gauge and the approximate fibre character of the recommended yarn—not only the ply label. When yarns are held together, substitute each strand separately unless one yarn can produce the same gauge, drape and fabric.
