Eden Jumper Knitting Pattern - 8 Ply
An 8ply children’s jumper for approximately 6–9 months to 7–8 years, with a practical choice of flat or circular neckband finishing.

Construction
The back, front and sleeves are worked flat separately, then joined. The neckband can be worked on straight needles or in the round.
Yarn choices
Use DK/8ply yarn, worked with a single strand. Touch Yarns NZ Merino 8ply is a stocked 8ply option to swatch at the pattern tension. Match the metre allowance rather than copying quantities between yarn ranges.

Metre allowances are approximate. Where the original gives purchasing quantities rather than used metres, these have been converted using its stated yarn length. Swatch, wash and block before starting; allow extra for length changes and differences in tension.
Tension
22 stitches and 30 rows to 10 cm in stocking stitch on 4 mm needles.
Needles and notions
3.75 mm and 4 mm straight needles; 3.75 mm circular needles or double-pointed needles for the optional circular neckband; 6 stitch holders and 4 stitch markers.

You will use knit and purl stitches, shaping, holding stitches and seaming. Read the finishing instructions before starting.
