Construction
Worked flat and seamed, leaving an opening for the thumb.
Yarn choices
Use DK/8ply yarn, worked with a single strand. Touch Yarns NZ Merino 8ply is a stocked 8ply option to swatch at the pattern tension. Match the metre allowance rather than copying quantities between yarn ranges.

Metre allowances are approximate. Where the original gives purchasing quantities rather than used metres, these have been converted using its stated yarn length. Swatch, wash and block before starting; allow extra for length changes and differences in tension.
Tension
22 stitches and 32 rows to 10 cm in stocking stitch.
Needles and notions
3.5 mm knitting needles and a wool needle for seaming. Loose knitters may need 3.25 mm needles.

Can I change how much of my fingers the mitts cover?
Yes. The pattern explains how changing the thumb opening position changes finger coverage. Lengthening may require an extra 10β20 m of yarn.
