OK, I hear you loud and clear... "knitting with cotton isn't relaxing, its difficult to work with, it has no 'give', it's stringy, the finished garment stretches". Golly, if only I had a dollar for every time I heard this old nugget. Yes, you will have a miserable experience knitting with a dodgy ball of cheap cotton, and it serves you right for purchasing something that is an insult to the producer, the retailer and to you, the knitter. Rant over!
Let me introduce you to our buttery soft, bouncy and luxurious organic combed cotton. It will bounce along your needles, pop a smile on your face and give you a wonderful knitting experience. We use this premium cotton mainly for or summer babies and toddlers garments, but feel free to make yourself an extremely joyful sweater, cardigan or singlet. One of my favourite patterns (I have many) is our Summer Rompers and Beanie pattern. A romper suit is not old fashioned, rather it is a desirable vintage style garment and is extremely popular with modern new mums.
We also have a super simple pattern for a babies/toddlers sweater. We adore this pattern and have knitted samples made from 3 different yarns!
For a simple, quick, yet useful project, may I suggest colourful knitted facecloths. This cotton is so soft that it makes the very best washcloths, maybe you could make a few as gifts for family and friends.
