Make a coordinated baby outfit with a striped vest, hat and little shoes. Three shades of 4ply yarn create the colour-block effect. The hat can be worked flat or in the round.

Pattern details

  • Yarn weight: 4ply
  • Sizing: Vest: 0–18 months, chest 40–51 cm. Hat: 35–48 cm. Shoes: foot length 8–12 cm.
  • Yarn requirements: Burnt Hill Yarns Eternity 4ply in Candy Pop, Primrose and White Quartz. The supplier lists one 50g ball of each colour.
  • Needles and notions: 2.75 mm and 3.25 mm straight and double-pointed needles; 3 small buttons, 1 medium button and stitch holders.
  • Tension: 28 stitches × 36 rows per 10 cm in stocking stitch on 3.25 mm needles.
