Quantities are converted from the designer's stated amounts using Sandnes Garn Tynn Line: 220 m per 50 g and rounded up to whole metres. The table is the total for both strands: do not double it again. Buy enough complete balls for your size and allow extra for swatching or changes in length.
Option 2: Sandnes Garn Line — single strand
Wild & Woolly alternative: use Sandnes Garn Line with one strand throughout. Choose either option 1 or option 2; do not combine them.

These are equivalent-metre planning estimates, calculated by halving the designer’s total Tynn Line meterage for two strands to give the length required for one strand. They are not confirmed test-knit quantities or PetiteKnit’s stated requirements for Line. Sandnes Garn Line provides 110 m per 50 g. Buy enough complete balls, using the upper figure where a range is shown, and allow extra for swatching or changes in length.
Before starting, wash and block a swatch to check both the fabric and the pattern gauge of 20 stitches × 27 rows per 10 × 10 cm. Start with 4 mm needles and adjust as needed to achieve gauge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Sandnes Garn Tynn Line used single or double for Cloud Top?
Use two strands of Sandnes Garn Tynn Line held together. The metre totals shown cover both strands combined, so you do not need to double those totals again.
How are the Cloud Top armholes finished?
Stitches are picked up around the armholes and neckline to work simple stocking-stitch edges. These edges give the sleeveless top its rolled finish.
