Instructions Overview

Jacket

• Body: The jacket is worked in one piece for the back and front sections. The back and two front sections are shaped with ribbing, and then worked in stocking stitch or lace depending on the chosen version.
• Sleeves: The sleeves are knit separately and sewn onto the body.
• Crossover Front: The crossover front is worked with ribbing and shaped at the underarm and front edges.
• Edging & Ties: The edging around the front and neck is worked in ribbing. Two ties are created and attached to the front, allowing the jacket to be secured. Optionally, a snap fastener can be added for additional closure.

Hat

• The hat is worked in ribbing at the brim and continues in stocking stitch or lace for the main body. The crown is shaped with decreases until the stitches are gathered to close the top.

Finishing

• Seams: Join the shoulder seams and insert the sleeve tops. Sew the side and sleeve seams using mattress stitch. Attach the ties to the left front and side seam, and sew the hat seam.
• Blocking: Block the pieces gently to open up the lace pattern and ensure a neat finish.
