Zipper Sweater Light – Junior

The Zipper Sweater Light – Junior is worked seamlessly from the top down, creating a modern, comfortable sweater with a practical zip collar. Featuring classic raglan shaping and a neatly finished zipper placket, it is an ideal everyday knit for children and teenagers.

The folded ribbed collar is worked first and knitted together before the yoke is shaped with raglan increases. The upper yoke is worked flat to create the front opening for the zipper, before joining to work the remainder of the yoke in the round. The body and sleeves are then worked seamlessly in the round.

A facing is worked from resting stitches to enclose the zipper tape, allowing the zipper to be sewn neatly between two layers of knitting for a professional finish.

The Zipper Sweater Light – Junior is designed with approx. 20 cm of positive ease.

Before beginning your project, knit a swatch to ensure you achieve the correct gauge after washing.
