Gauge, needles and materials
Gauge: 36 stitches × 34 rows in smock pattern on 3 mm needles, after washing and blocking = 10 × 10 cm.
Needles: 3 mm circulars: 40, 60 and 80 and/or 100 cm; 2.5 mm circulars: 80 and/or 100 cm; 2.5 mm and 3 mm double-pointed needles.
Designer difficulty: 5 out of 5.
Recommended shop yarn combination
Hold one strand of Sandnes Garn Sunday with one strand of Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (2ply) throughout. Sunday is a designer-listed main yarn; the stocked Tynn Silk Mohair is our approved companion substitute.
Estimated metres by size: Sunday is calculated at 235 m per 50 g from the designer's Sunday quantities; the mohair allowance uses 212 m per 25 g from the designer's companion-yarn quantities. Each column is a separate component requirement, not a combined total. These equivalent-metre planning estimates are not test-knit substitute quantities.

Wash and block a smock-pattern swatch with both strands together to check 36 stitches × 34 rows per 10 cm. Needle size and yarn use may vary. Allow extra yarn for swatching, adjustments or added length, and round up to whole balls.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the sleeve shape?
The pattern includes sleeve instructions with and without decreases. Choose the version you prefer when following the sleeve section.
Is Jenny Blouse knitted at the same gauge as Jenny Sweater?
No. Blouse uses 36 stitches × 34 rows in smock on 3 mm needles. Jenny Sweater has its own larger-needle gauge and bottom-up construction.
Do I hold Sandnes Garn Sunday double for Jenny Blouse?
No. Use one strand of Sunday together with one strand of Tynn Silk Mohair. The two metre columns give the separate amounts to buy for those two components.
