Raglan Sweater in Bio Sunny – Naturally K3048
A textured cotton sweater with raglan sleeves, ribbed edges and a zip opening along a raglan seam. The back, front and sleeves are knitted flat from the bottom up and sewn together. A folded neckband finishes the neckline and the top of the zip.

Tension
22 stitches × 30 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch on 3.75 mm needles. Make a washed and dried swatch and adjust needle size to achieve the stated tension.
Needles and notions
- 3.25 mm and 3.75 mm knitting needles.
- Stitch holders, stitch markers and a tapestry needle for seaming.
- One zip: 10 cm for the 56 and 61 cm sizes; 15 cm for the 66 and 71 cm sizes.
- A sewing needle and thread for attaching the zip.
Skills and preparation
This is an intermediate project using knit-and-purl texture, increases, raglan decreases, neckline shaping, picking up stitches, seaming and inserting a zip. Keep the texture correct while shaping and match the pattern rows when joining the pieces.
Pattern clarifications
Wild & Woolly has approved these corrections: in the neckband setup, work the first sleeve's held stitches once, omitting the repeated reference to that same sleeve. Work the second sleeve once as directed. The neckband totals remain 84, 90, 96 and 102 stitches.
Use zip lengths of 10, 10, 15 and 15 cm for chest sizes 56, 61, 66 and 71 cm respectively, following the four-size sequence in the finishing instructions.

Frequently asked questions
Is the zip down the centre front?
No. The opening runs along the upper part of a raglan seam and through the neckband.
Is this a seamless raglan sweater?
No. The pieces are knitted flat and joined during finishing, leaving the upper part of one raglan seam open for the zip.
