Alternating knit-and-purl textures form gentle stripes within a garter-stitch border. Choose either 4ply or 8ply yarn and make a bassinet or cot blanket from the same pattern.

Pattern details

  • Yarn weight: 4ply / 8ply
  • Sizing: Bassinet: 70 × 90 cm. Cot: 85 × 105 cm.
  • Yarn requirements: 4ply: Eternity, White Quartz, 6 or 8 × 50g balls. 8ply: Vespers, Dusty Sage, 10 or 13 × 50g balls.
  • Needles and notions: 3.25 mm needles for 4ply; 4 mm for 8ply.
  • Tension: 4ply: 28 stitches × 36 rows. 8ply: 22 stitches × 30 rows. Both over 10 cm in stocking stitch.
