Saga Sweater

The Saga Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in a beautiful textured stitch pattern, creating a timeless sweater with elegant raglan shaping and classic Scandinavian styling.

The upper back yoke is worked flat first with shaping increases. Stitches are then picked up along the back yoke to work each shoulder separately before the work is joined in the round. Sleeve stitches are picked up as the yoke progresses, and the remainder of the yoke is worked with raglan increases. The body and sleeves are then worked seamlessly in the round before the sweater is finished with a classic ribbed neckline.

The textured stitch pattern gives the sweater beautiful depth while maintaining a comfortable, wearable fabric.

The Saga Sweater is designed with approx. 20 cm of positive ease in the smaller sizes, gradually decreasing in the larger sizes.

Before beginning your project, knit a swatch in the textured stitch pattern to ensure you achieve the correct gauge after washing and blocking.
