Dagmar Jacket Junior Knitting Pattern – PetiteKnit
A children’s cardigan with cable panels, a textured body and wooden toggle fastenings. Work the back yoke in rows, then each shoulder separately. Join the fronts and back at the underarms and knit the body back and forth. The picked-up sleeves are worked in the round, with front and neck bands added last.

Gauge, needles and accessories
Gauge: 23 stitches × 30 rows in the textured pattern on 4 mm needles, after washing and blocking = 10 × 10 cm. Knit a swatch in the pattern’s textured stitches, wash and block it, and adjust needle size to achieve the required gauge.
Needles: 4 mm circular needles (60 or 80 cm); 3.5 mm circular needles (60 and/or 80 cm); 3 mm circular needles (60 or 80 cm); 3.5 mm and 4 mm double-pointed needles.
Notions: 25 mm toggle buttons: five for sizes 1–2 to 4–5 years; six for sizes 5–6 to 12–14 years.
