Alice Top
The Alice Top is worked seamlessly from the top down alternative method or from the bottom up in stockinette stitch, offering flexibility in construction and length adjustment. The body is initially worked in the round before being divided at the armholes for front and back sections.
The body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch to the armholes, after which the work is divided. The back is worked flat in one piece, while the front is split to shape a V-neckline. An alternative construction begins at the mid-body using a provisional cast-on, allowing the length to be adjusted by working the body top-down after completing the upper section.
The top is designed with approximately 0 cm of positive ease, resulting in a close-fitting silhouette. Choose a size based on your actual bust measurement for the intended fit.
Before beginning your project, knit a swatch to determine which needle size achieves the correct gauge. Wash the swatch, as the recommended yarns will grow with washing and wear.

Construction
The Alice Top is worked primarily from the bottom up in the round to the armholes, then divided for front and back. The back is worked flat, while the front is split to form a V-neckline. An alternative method allows the piece to be worked from the middle using a provisional cast-on, enabling length adjustments by working the body top-down.
