Dagmar Jacket Knitting Pattern – PetiteKnit
A relaxed adult cardigan with cable and textured panels and toggle fastenings. Knit the back yoke in rows, shape the picked-up shoulders, then work the body back and forth. The sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round; front plackets and a ribbed neck edge finish the jacket.

Designed with around 26 cm of positive ease in the smaller sizes, decreasing in the larger sizes. Compare your bust measurement with the finished circumference.

Gauge, needles and accessories
Gauge: 18 stitches × 24 rows in the textured pattern on 4.5 mm needles = 10 × 10 cm. Knit a swatch in the pattern’s textured stitches, wash and block it, and adjust needle size to achieve the required gauge.
Needles: 4.5 mm circular needles (40, 60, 80 and/or 100 cm); 4 mm circular needles (60, 80 and/or 100 cm); 3.5 mm circular needles (60 or 80 cm); 4 mm double-pointed needles.
Notions: Six 30 mm toggle buttons.

Does the Dagmar Jacket length include the neck edge?
Yes. Its finished length is measured down the centre back including the neck edge. Allow for this when comparing it with the length of a cardigan you already wear.
Is Dagmar Jacket knitted flat or in the round?
The cardigan body is worked back and forth to leave the front opening, while the picked-up sleeves are worked in the round. The front plackets are added after the main garment.
