Esther Jacket Knitting Pattern - PetiteKnit

Esther Jacket
The Esther Jacket is worked seamlessly from the top down in a textured pattern. The design combines structured shaping with rich texture, resulting in a refined yet cozy layering piece.
The construction begins with the back yoke, worked flat with increases to shape the shoulders. Stitches are then picked up along the top of the back yoke to form each shoulder, which are worked individually before joining to create the front sections. The body is worked flat in one piece.
Sleeves are worked in the round from stitches picked up along the armholes. To finish, front plackets and a ribbed neckline are worked, completing the jacket with clean, polished edges.
The jacket is designed to have approx. 24 cm of positive ease in the smaller sizes, gradually decreasing across larger sizes to maintain proportion and fit.
Before beginning your project, knit a swatch to ensure you achieve the correct gauge in the textured pattern. This is essential, as gauge can vary significantly in textured stitches.
