Wednesday Sweater Knitting Pattern - PetiteKnit
📬 Printed Booklet (Posted to You)
Wednesday Sweater
The Wednesday Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down.
First, the back is worked flat while the shoulders are shaped with short rows to create a comfortable fit. The shoulders are then worked separately before being joined to form the front yoke.
At the underarm, the front and back are joined and the body is worked in the round. Stitches are picked up around the armholes for the sleeves, which are worked in the round down to the cuffs using double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop technique.
A large turtleneck collar is worked at the end from stitches picked up along the neckline. The collar, cuffs, and hem are finished in twisted rib.
The Wednesday Sweater is designed with an oversized fit and approx. 25 cm of positive ease.
Before beginning your project, knit a swatch to determine the needle size required to achieve the correct gauge.
