Vertical Garter Stitch Beanie & Booties – Naturally K3015
A garter-stitch beanie with shaped vertical sections, a rolled-up brim and a pompom, paired with booties featuring striped sock tops. Three merino shades give the set its contrasting details.
Construction and pattern facts
The beanie is knitted sideways in shaped sections, then joined with a three-needle cast-off from a provisional cast-on. The leaflet also allows a regular cast-on and cast-off with a sewn join. Pick up the brim edging and work it in the round. The booties are knitted flat, with sock tops joined to the foot sections, a three-needle sole join and sewn back seams. Work with one strand at a time, changing colours separately.

Frequently asked questions
Can I make booties in the 9–12 month size?
The leaflet only supplies newborn and 3–6 month bootie instructions. The 9–12 month size applies to the beanie.
Do I have to use a provisional cast-on?
No. The leaflet gives a regular cast-on and cast-off option, with the edges sewn together instead.
