Stockholm Slipover V-Neck Knit Kit
A softly textured vest to layer over shirts, dresses and tees. PetiteKnit’s V-neck design has sloping shoulders and neatly finished ribbed edges, knitted with merino and silk mohair held together.
Skill level and construction
Intermediate. You will work short rows, directional increases, picked-up stitches and centred double decreases, then finish the ribbing with an Italian or tubular cast-off. Work the back and front shoulders from the top down before joining the body in the round.

- Sandnes Garn Sunday 4ply and coordinating Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair 2ply or Sesia Vivienne 2ply Silk Mohair, in the quantities and shades below.
- One printed PetiteKnit Stockholm Slipover V-Neck pattern.
The pattern is also sold separately. Knitting needles and finishing tools are required separately.
Yarns and supplied metreage
Hold one strand of Sandnes Garn Sunday 4ply together with one strand of silk mohair throughout. Sunday is 100% non-superwash merino wool. Your colour choice pairs it with either Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair 2ply (57% mohair, 28% silk and 15% wool) or Sesia Vivienne 2ply Silk Mohair (70% super kid mohair and 30% silk), as shown below.
The table shows the yarn supplied for one slipover in each pattern size. Each strand is listed separately; do not add the two lengths together. Whole yarn units are supplied, so some sizes have yarn left over. Choose the kit group containing your individual pattern size.

The design has approximately 5 cm of positive ease. Compare your body measurement with the finished bust measurements below. The kit groups XS/S/M/L/XL together, 2XL/3XL/4XL together, and 5XL separately. One kit makes one slipover; follow your individual pattern size.

Length is measured at the centre back, including the neck edge. Other garment measurements are finished measurements.
Tension, needles and tools
19 stitches and 27 rows = 10 cm in stocking stitch on 4.5 mm needles, after washing and blocking, with both strands held together. Check a washed swatch before starting; our knitting tension guide explains how.
- 4.5 mm circular needles: 60 cm and 80 or 100 cm.
- 3.5 mm circular needles: 40 cm, 60 cm and 80 or 100 cm.
- Stitch markers, a way to hold resting stitches and a tapestry needle.
Care
Hand-wash gently and dry flat. Follow both yarn labels; Sesia Vivienne requires hand-washing. Avoid rubbing, wringing or tumble drying.

Is this the V-neck or round-neck design?
This kit makes the V-neck Stockholm Slipover. The round-neck kit is a separate listing.
Are both yarns held together?
Yes. Hold one strand of Sunday with one strand of the coordinating mohair, including in your tension swatch.
Which mohair comes with my colour?

Does a grouped size kit make several slipovers?
No. Choose the group containing your individual size. One kit supplies one garment.
Do I need circular needles for the flat sections?
Yes. The shoulders are worked back and forth on circular needles, and the body is then joined in the round. Needles are required separately.
