Choose one of six planned colourways for this simple striped baby blanket. Worked flat with stocking stitch and a generous garter stitch border, it is a welcoming project for a new or returning knitter. Your kit supplies Sesia Nordica Italian Merino DK / 8ply and a printed Wild & Woolly pattern.

Finished Size and Construction
Approximately 81 cm long × 65 cm wide after blocking, suitable for a bassinet or baby car seat. The blanket is worked flat in one piece. Garter stitch forms the bottom and top borders and the eight-stitch borders along both sides; the centre is stocking stitch. Work with one strand throughout.
Yarn Included
Each colourway contains 875 m of Sesia Nordica Italian Merino, 100% extrafine merino DK / 8ply, with 125 m per 50 g ball. The original pattern also uses Sesia Nordica: there is no yarn-brand or weight substitution and no built-in needle-size change. The pattern's suggested sample shades are Branches, Antique Rose, Snowdrop and Mushroom; the current kit shade plans below replace that suggested palette where listed.

Stripe order from cast-on to cast-off: A (125 m) → B (125 m) → C (125 m) → D (125 m) → C (125 m) → B (125 m) → A (125 m). Use the same shade for each repeated letter. The first and final A sections include the garter-stitch end borders. The colour plans are also shown as labelled diagrams in the kit handout.
Tension and Needles
20 stitches and 28 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stocking stitch on 4.0 mm needles after blocking. Make and wash a tension square; change needle size if necessary to meet the pattern tension and check the finished dimensions. A pair of 4.0 mm knitting needles is required. Select With Needles if you want needles supplied, or Without Needles if you have your own. You will also need a large-eyed tapestry needle for sewing in ends.

Care
Follow the yarn label: gentle machine wash at 30°C, reshape and dry flat. Do not tumble dry or bleach. Wash your tension square the same way before measuring it.
Colours may appear slightly different on screen. The photographs with yarn placed over the sample blanket illustrate colour order; the finished blanket in your selected shades will differ from the photographed sample.
