Construction and Skill Guidance
Worked from the neckline down in the round. Increases shape the shoulder section; casting off and casting on creates the armholes before the body continues in the round. There are no garment seams to sew, just ends to weave in.
Suggested skill level: Intermediate. You’ll work circular knitting, garter stitch in the round, paired increases and armhole cast-offs and cast-ons.

Yarn Requirements
The original yarn is Sesia Nordica Print DK/8ply, approximately 125 m per 50 g. The sample is shade #1970.

Work with a single strand. Metreages are approximate yarn allowances converted from the original pattern quantities, rather than measured consumption. Allow extra for swatching or changes in size. Check a washed and dried swatch before starting.
Work each ball from the same end for the most consistent colour sequence. The printed colour pattern varies with size.
You’ll Need
- 3.75mm circular needle, 40cm long
- 3.75mm and 4mm circular needles, 50cm long
- Stitch markers, including a distinct marker for the beginning of the round
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Tension
22 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm in stocking stitch on 4mm needles. In the round, stocking stitch is knitted every round.
