HC48 - Sarah Headband
For the speedy knitter a headband can be made in just one evening, it's slightly quicker than knitting a beanie. Made in wool for those spending Christmas in a cooler climate, or maybe our our Rowan Cotton Cashmere for warmer weather 'Hair Solutions'
This pattern will be of interest to all my Auckland customers. After two months of Lockdown and our hairdressers well and truly closed, many of us are finding every day is a 'bad hair day'. It's getting a little too warm to hide under a woolly beanie. Sweep up your locks, slap on some lipstick and give everyone you meet a brilliant smile... if anyone knows how to get lipstick stains off the inside of a cloth mask please let me know!
If you wish to learn how to cable, this easy, quick headband is an ideal first project. I have worked this pattern twice. The cream sample is made in Wild Earth Yarns Natural 8 ply and the blossom pink sample is using our glorious Chaska Alpaca Air. Although this pattern is designed for an 8 ply yarn I felt using the slightly thicker brushed alpaca gave a super luxurios finnish.
Any 8 ply yarn in our collection may also be used for this headband...Nordica Italian Merino is a patrticular favourite of mine, offering an exciting range of colours and for a Summer version our Rowan Cotton Cashmere is suitable.
A quick knit for the winter months in the mountains or a walk down the beach.
